One of the first times I took a short vacation with only one camera and one lens was to Chicago. Normally I take a bag full of cameras and lenses - you know - just in case? But this time I took only a Fuji X100 with a fixed 23mm f2 (35mm equivalent) and it was an exhilarating experience. Unencumbered by big multiple DSLR cameras and lenses, I felt I could walk all day, shoot and get the pictures I wanted. This experience sold me on the merits of the small, discreet,  Fuji X series rangefinder type gear.

We Have All Seen Them:

  • Those iconic images by Bresson, Doisneau, Eisenstadt, Erwitt, Hurn, and Meiselas and so many others that makes you wonder what is it about those images of everyday life that is so compelling. I guess that's it really. Compelling.

Although I didn't start taking street photography seriously until I started using the Fuji X series cameras, I always had a camera or two with me as I travelled around and took in the world around me. I hope you enjoy the following photos and feel free to comment.
